Payday Parties

 

Stockton Federation of Teachers holds casual get-togethers, or “Payday Parties” monthly on a corresponding payday Friday. In addition, we will attempt to host a Tuesday party for those who cannot make Fridays on the Tuesday Preceptorial Advising day of each semester.

Payday Parties are FREE to full members of our union. Parties begin at 4:30 pm and last until approximately 7:00 pm in room C-134. (except where noted)

ONLY FULL MEMBERS of the Stockton Federation of Teachers unit, including adjunct faculty (even if you are not teaching this semester), are cordially invited to attend, enjoy great ethnic food, and interact with about 150 of your colleagues. Your spouses, significant others and children are always welcome to join you and we hope to see all our members, including adjuncts! (*since alcohol is available, please do not invite your students*).

At each payday party we select a different food theme and have an area restaurant supply the cuisine. There is usually something for everyone – even those with vegetarian, or gluten free diets. In addition to the main dishes, there is always a wonderful assortment of beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as delightful desserts. E-mails will be sent to full members detailing each menu prior to the Payday Party date.
